Privacy & analytics.

Browsing the directory

You can search, filter, and visit vendors without creating an account. Your search words are used to find results and aren’t stored in our analytics database. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information into a search.

Optional analytics

Analytics start only when you choose “Allow analytics.” We keep daily aggregate counts of page visits by broad channel, search topics, empty results, product views, vendor clicks, and helpfulness feedback. We do not store raw queries, IP addresses in analytics, advertising identifiers, or individual browsing profiles. Counts represent events, not unique people.

With permission, local storage remembers your choice and a last-visit timestamp on this device to count a return after a day. You can change your choice using “Privacy settings” below. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable analytics. Declining leaves only the preference on your device. Aggregate analytics are removed after 180 days when new events arrive.

Product submissions and corrections

We store the contact email and submitted information to review your request, prevent duplicate listings, and communicate about it. Contact emails stay private. We publish reviewed product facts and the founder-reported user count and its review date. This count describes total product users, not employee count or an audited metric. An optional expression of interest in future paid visibility is kept for evaluating the experiment; it has no effect on ranking or acceptance.

We remove contact emails after 90 days during routine maintenance. Published product information can remain until it is corrected or removed. You may request correction or deletion using the contact below.

Abuse prevention and hosting

Our hosting provider processes network requests to deliver and protect the site. We use a salted, hourly rotating digest of the connection address for short-lived rate limits. These records expire after an hour and are removed on later requests. We don’t use them for analytics. Hosting authentication may use essential cookies for editor access or a private preview.

Vendor websites

Vendor links lead to independently operated websites with their own privacy notices. We receive no information about whether you sign up or buy. No affiliate tracking parameters are added to links.
